Volunteers will help teach ESL classes, be drivers and helpers to prepare and teach English and/or phonics. Volunteers will help to prepare and share the bible verse(training/guidance will be provided). There are usually small children in the room, so bringing young helpers to play and watch the kids is encouraged. Several of the women need a ride to and from class, so those who wish to drive women and children is helpful (but not required) as well. English classes for Afghan women will take place at McKinley Elementary. Classes will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons(2-4pm) from July 1 through mid August (Summer commitment is 2 hours per week for 6 weeks). We are teaching them English and sharing bible verses and stories to plant seeds and be a witness to who Jesus truly is. Volunteers must be 18 years or older.
