Volunteer will match up pieces of disassembled beds, clean them, assemble the bed for testing, test, disassemble for pick up/transport to Erie community members. This is an ongoing serving opportunity through Winter 2025. Volunteers should be over the age of 18 and able to lift heavy materials (50lbs) and problem solve. This project will improve the interior looks of the Neighborhood Partnership Center. Activities include remove wallpaper, sand and paint or texture paint walls. Attention to detail when painting is a plus! Volunteers under 18 are permitted with an adult. This is a great group project! Mentors come along side and intentionally engage and build trust-based relationships with students (7th-12th grade) through hands-on, learning experiences that promote servant leadership, character development, academic enrichment, and faith formation. This is an ongoing opportunity through Spring 2025. Mentors must be 18 or over and are required to have current clearances. Volunteers will assist Wesley UMC with their annual community outreach Easter event. Student and adult volunteers will oversee the game area, assist in hiding the eggs on site, stocking and cleaning the snack area (traying cookies, wiping down counters and stocking drinks), and participating in the Jesus experience (sharing the story of Jesus with the children and their families.) Adult volunteers will help at the registration table to great and sign in the community families in attendance.
